Here's a lighting diagram app for your iPhone and it free. Give it a try. It's great for explaining a new lighting setup or keep a record of one you did.

Cattleman's Pit BBQ, Jamul CA

We stopped for lunch today at the new Cattleman's Pit BBQ here in Jamul CA to "give it a try".  We met the owner, Gabriel - a nice young man with a pleasant personality.  We spoke for a while and learned he bought his smoker in Beaumont, Texas.  He takes pride in his barbecue sauce, which he should.  It's quite tasty!  He's only been open a few months.

Deinna and I were pleasantly surprised with the great sandwich we had for our lunch.  We had the BBQ Pork Combo.  This included the pork sandwich smothered in barbecue sauce, a generous portion of cold slaw, baked beans and a soda for $9.00.  We added an appetizer of onion rings, couldn't resist, for $4.00.  We highly recommend you stop in and give Jamul's newest eatery some support.  Maybe you'll like it too!  And maybe we'll see you there.

Here's  a link to their web SITE HERE  or the MENU HERE

Veterans Day Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery

On this day, we pause to remember the veterans who have proudly served this country. Visiting the 77 plus acres at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Ca., one is overwhelmed by the sheer number of graves. Many Fort Rosecrans interments date to the early years of the California Territory, including the remains of the casualties of the Battle of San Pasqual. In the Battle of San Pasqual, 19 of Kearney’s men and an untold number of Californios lost their lives. Initially, the dead were buried where they fell, but by 1874 the remains had been removed to the San Diego Military Reservation. Eight years later, the bodies were again reinterred at what is now Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Number of Interments Thru Fiscal Year 2008: 96,626.

Of the 96,000+ interments, many spouses and minor children are among the buried.  Requirements for interment in a national cemetery can be found at this LINK.

Deinna and I attended the Harvest Festival Craft Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on October 24 with our friends Jim and Pat Ray.

We ran it to this character going between the buildings.
