The Trip Begins:

Friday, August 3, at 5:18 pm, we're leaving for Photoshop World in Las Vegas --- via SOUTH DAKOTA!

We've got a whole month to get there on September 5. We don't know where or when we'll have internet available to check our mail, so we've created this Blog to let you check up on us. Also, you won't be getting a lot of annoying e-mails from us, but, if you DO want to check up on us, to know where we are and what's happening, check this Blog as you like. Please send us all your comments via e-mail, and if there is any other info you would like to know about our trip, we will add it.

This is the blogsite, which is just our initials plus the word adventure then .blogspot.com.

Leaving Jamul at 5:18 pm, we traveled a whopping 170 miles and made our first stop - in Yuma at Araby Acres RV Park. We were exhausted. Saturday morning we were refreshed and drove through Gila Bend and on to Phoenix. Taking I-17 to Flagstaff, It was overcast, which made for a cooler than normal Arizona day - at 92 degrees. At 10:02 it began sprinkling. At 10:24, it was full sunshine and 95 degrees. We began climbing to 7,000 feet to reach Flagstaff.

Before Flagstaff, we crested a minor summit and saw in the distance a beautiful green valley. We were coming to Camp Verde in the Verde Valley. To view: Click Here

Camp Verde is the home of the largest Kokopelli in the world - which, if you know me, I love those little guys.

We looked around for RV parks in Flagstaff - On Lou's new iPhone, we searched the Maps Function - entered "RV parks Flagstaff AZ", which immediately presented us with a map pinpointing all the RV parks in the vicinity, plus their address and phone number. There were NONE that had cable tv or wireless connectivity. Finally found the OK RV Park which was 90 miles away in Holbrook Arizona. So off we went.
